The Code Rainbow program was established to ensure that all furry family members have access to the veterinary care that they require, when they require it. A visit to the vet may be for vaccinations, microchipping, cuts, broken bones, emergency care or Rainbow Bridge crossings.
who can access it
The Code Rainbow program is available to concession card holders. The applicant must also be the registered owner for the pet.
This program is subsidised only. All clients will be required to pay a small proportion of any costs incurred.
The client is responsible for booking their pet into the vet and arranging transport to and from the vet clinic
how to apply
To apply for the program applicants can either use the online application form or email info@rainbowpaws.org a copy of their concession card, and proof of pet ownership (such as registration papers or microchip papers). Please note: applications will not be processed until all paperwork is received.
If you require emergency access to vet care for your pet, another option is ACT Pet Crisis Support (https://www.actpetcrisis.com). ACT Pet Crisis Support assists pets in the community by providing subsidised veterinary care for disadvantaged, low income pet owners who have no other options to care for their pets.
